Benjamin Julian Creel, age 51, died November 8, 2016 at Grand Strand Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.
Benjamin was born in Conway, SC, a son of the late Paul Creel and the late Dolores Creel. He was a proud graduate of the Citadel and the University of South Carolina School of Law. He was the owner and CEO of Creel Oil & Gas and the North American Institute of Aviation. He most recently practiced law. Benjamin was also involved in a number of local organizations including the Conway Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Horry Citadel Club, and the Conway Medical Center Foundation.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his bother Russell. He is survived by his sisters, Paula Floyd of Aynor, Meredith Neal and Michelle Richardson of Conway, as well as 12 nieces and nephews, and 8 grand-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at First United Methodist Church of Conway with Rev. Kyle Randle officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church starting at 10:00 AM Friday prior to the service.
