Beatty Jennings White Jr., 85, of 553 Meadowbrook Lane died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008, at Forest Hills Cemetery, with Dr. Shelton P. Sanford officiating. A native of Rock Hill, S.C., Mr. White was the son of the late Beatty Jennings White Sr. and Mary Adams White. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He attended The Citadel and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and University of Virginia School of Law. He practiced law for 57 years and he still enjoyed his work until the time of his death. Mr. White was a charter member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and was the widower of Betty Jones White. Mr. White is survived by his son, B. Jennings White III of Montreat, N.C.; his daughter, Ann Lindsay White Bolton of the home; and his grandsons, Mark Alan Bolton Jr. and Eric Winslow Bolton of Charleston, S.C. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas A.White and his two sisters, Mary Harriet White and Jane White Rickard.
