Andrew Frank Lawandales, 86, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Mary Pappas Lawandales entered into eternal rest Monday, December 15, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity at 12:00 noon. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity with the Trisagion Service at 6:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Andrew was born April 29, 1928 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of Frank Lawandales and Mitsa Mavrantzakis Lawandales. He was a 1949 graduate of The Citadel and served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a retired business owner. Andrew was a lifetime member of the Doors and Hardware Institute and a lifetime member of The Citadel Alumni Association. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity. Andrew is survived by his wife of 61 years; daughter, Debra Davino of Charleston, SC; two sons: Andrew F. Lawandales, Jr. (Dawn) of Canton, GA and Thomas G. Lawandales (Ruth) of Alpharetta, GA; eight grandchildren: Thomas M. Davino (Allison), Mary Ashley Davino, Eleni Davino, Amanda Morrell (Curt), Staci Whitworth (Michael), Laura Casper (Mark), Elizabeth Lawandales and Caroline Lawandales; sister, Sophia Demos (Peter) of Charleston, SC; and brother, Stellios F. Lawandales (Olga) of Marietta, GA. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eleas Lawandales.
