Miss Amy Michelle Guy, 40, of Scranton, SC passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at her home, after an illness. Amy is the daughter of Janice and James Guy and was survived by a twin brother, Jamie Guy. Amy was born in Sumter on April 30, 1974. She was a graduate of Lake City High School, Class of 1992, received a BS degree in Psychology from The College of Charleston and a MA from The Citadel. She was a member of Lake City First Baptist Church. Amy was employed by the Department of Social Services of Charleston and employed by The Citadel as she received her MA degree. She, then, was employed by Florence County School District #3 as a School Psychologist. She was a former member of the Lake City Women’s Junior Book Club and contributed articles to many Psychological Journals. Amy is survived by her parents, Janice McCutcheon Guy and James B. Guy and her twin brother, Jamie Guy. She had several special Aunts and Uncles, Betty M. Whitehead of Lake City, Francis M. Buddin of Scranton, Derryl M. McCutcheon of Lake City, Patsy M. (Jimmy) Brown of Beaufort, H. E. (Butch) McCutcheon of Florence and Joe (Joyce) Guy of Cades. She is also survived by many special cousins, Robert T. (Joni) Whitehead, Ann F. (Julian) Hanna, Martha F. (Jesse) Nance, Traci McCutcheon, John M. (Daisy) McCutcheon, Jr., Jim (Shannon) Brown, Robert Brown, H. E. “Rocky” (Ida Ruth) McCutcheon, III, Randy (Tammie) McCutcheon, Rita (Jason) Andre, Laura Kelly McCutcheon, Elizabeth, Rhonda, Joy and Jim Guy. Also survived by a special friend, Nikki Lee. Amy was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Henry Eugene and Elma McCutcheon, paternal grandparents, Revis and Bertis Guy, a cousin Randal Guy, an Aunt Janie M. Floyd and Uncles, John M. McCutcheon, Willis Buddin and Hagood Floyd. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P. M. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Carolina Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M., Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Lake City First Baptist Church. Burial services will follow at Lake City Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Lake City First Baptist Church, 135 S.
