Allison Cooper Dillard, of Andrews, departed this life on November 2, 2017, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Allison was raised in Trio, SC. She graduated from Williamsburg High School, earned her Bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Columbia College and received her Master’s degree in Library Science from the Citadel. As a school teacher, she taught in Columbia, at Williamsburg High School and retired from Andrews High School. She was owner of a successful small business, Allison Dillard’s, a ladies clothing boutique in Hemingway and retired again in 2002. Allison is survived by: her husband, David Tisdale; sister, Jackie Ward of Georgetown; nieces, Leigha Cooper of Andrews and Joni Truluck of Irmo; nephews, Kevin Ward of Pawleys Island and Dennis Ward of Georgetown; step-children, Tracy Tisdale of Columbia, Michael Tisdale of Nesmith and Nelle Matthews of Lexington; step-granddaughter, Laura Pappas of Annapolis, MD. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy and Ruby Cooper; a brother, Johnny Cooper; her late husband, Henry Dillard; and a son, who was the love of her life, Chip Dillard. Allison loved all people, her church, Carolina football and the Atlanta Braves. She and David traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and abroad. Graveside Services will be at two o’clock Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2017, in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. William Clinton Stockton.
