Lennon Columbia,SC Date of Death: 09/25/2006 Notice COLUMBIA Graveside funeral services for Mr. Allard Haynes Lennon, 75, of Columbia, will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2006, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sistercare of the Midlands or the South Carolina Oncology Endowment Fund. Condolences may be sent to www.mem.com. Greenlawn Funeral Home is in charge. Mr. Lennon died September 25, 2006, in Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital. He was born January 9, 1931, in Charlotte, NC, to the late Haynes and Elizabeth Gasque Lennon, and was the grandson of the late Congressman Allard H. Gasque and Congresswoman Elizabeth Hawley Gasque VanExem. Mr. Lennon graduated from The Citadel in 1953 and was a member of the United States Army from 1953-1955. Mr. Lennon was also a member of St. MaryÆs Episcopal Church in Columbia. He retired after a long career in sales. He is survived by his wife, Edna Lennon of Columbia; his two daughters, Linda Lennon Leeke and husband, William D. Leeke, of Columbia, Lisa Lennon Fitzgerald and husband, E. Randolph Fitzgerald, of Clarksville, VA; one sister, Suzanne Lennon Wellesley of San Francisco, CA; six grandchildren, 2nd Class Petty Officer Christopher Meador (USCG), Christie Erin Meador, Cameron R. Fitzgerald, Jacob Fitzgerald, Joshua B. Fitzgerald, Scott Fitzgerald; and one special first cousin, Harrison H. Gasque. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Mary Ackerman, Roger, Doreen, Beth, Peggy and the entire 8th floor Staff at Palmetto Baptist Hospital for their compassion and special care.
