Ali Reza Sayas, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on the morning of December 6, 2010, Ali Reza Sayas, husband of Mary Haltom Sayas. Residence, Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Sayas are invited to attend his funeral service Friday, December 10, 2010, at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Stuhr’s West Ashley Chapel Thursday afternoon from 5 until 7 p.m. Ali was born August 2, 1953, in Tehran, Iran, son of Zahara Sayas and the late Abbas Sayas. He was a graduate of The Citadel, Class of 1977 and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Continuing his education, he also received a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland in 2009 and was currently pursuing his PHd. in Management, Finance, at Walden University. Ali was a Certified Financial Planner – College of Financial Planning; Chartered Financial Consultant – Certified Life Underwriter – American College; Registered Financial Consultant and International Board of Registered Financial Consultants. He was the owner of Financial Planning Concepts, LLC. He attended Bethany United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife Mary Haltom Sayas of Charleston; his mother, Zahara Sayas of Tehran, Iran, a daughter, Gina Cannella of Orlando, FL; a son, Curtis Fochtman and his wife Barbara of Chalfont, PA; two brothers, Behrus Sayas, Cyrus Sayas and sister, Azam Sayas all of Iran; two grandchildren, Emily Ann Fochtman and Justin Cole Fochtman, both of Chalfont, PA.
