Jensen, Alfred ALFRED JENSEN ROCKLEDGE Alfred Peter Jensen Pete, of Rockledge, Florida died Mon day, February 13, 2006. Born 1928 in Chicago, Illinois he was the son of Alfred Martin Jensen and Noemie Billion Jensen. He graduated from Farmington High School, Farmington, CT. He was a graduate of the Citadel, Charleston, SC with a degree in civil engineering. He worked in the construction industry and was employed by Texaco for 25 years in Connect icut, Maine, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Texas. He retired to Rockledge, Florida from Medford, NJ in 1987. Peter achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserves and earned the Meritorious Service Medal for outstanding non-combat achievement. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active member of his church. Pete had a great passion for all types of boating, especially sailing. This passion lead him to cruising the intercoastal water way from the Florida Keys to New England, sailing to the Bahamas and many years on the Chesapeake Bay. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Barrett Jensen; six children, Barry Jensen of Port Orange, FL, Cynthia Jensen of Pascagoula, MS, Martin Jensen of Charleston, SC, Joel Jensen of Windham, ME, Mary Folsom of Rockledge, FL and Paul Jensen of Wash ingtonville, NY; and nine grand children, Sean, Devin, Tara, Michael, Chris, Kels, Hayley, Margaret and Emily. A memorial service will be held at Freedom Christian Center in Rockledge at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2006. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Freedom Christian Center, 7250 Lake Andrew Drive, Melbourne, FL 32940 or to Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice, 8060 Spy glass Hill Road, Melbourne, FL 32940.
