July 17, 1924 Feb. 10, 2004 Addison Walker White, 79, died peacefully in sleep at his home on Woodland Terrace in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday. He was the son of Julia Watt and Shelby Irvine White, born July 17, 1924 in Huntsville. Mr. White was educated at the Episcopal High School in Alexander, Va., the Citadel and the University of Alabama. He was a veteran of WWII, having served the military in France. He is survived by his sister, Olivia White Cave and her husband, Edward A. Cave Jr., of Paducah, Ky.; nephew, Edward A. Cave III; niece, Shelby White Cave Cobb; and a great-nephew, Addison Forrest Cobb, all of Atlanta. Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert R. Cook of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Maple Hill Cemetery. Laughlin Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made at the Church of the Nativity.
