The Carroll N. LeTellier Award recognizes a member of The Citadel Alumni Association who has rendered extraordinary service or achievement to the Alumni Association and The CAA members. The award may be given in recognition of exemplary lifetime or superior yearly contributions, service and achievements. The Carroll N. LeTellier award is an elite award. Only one shall be awarded per calendar year and the award should not be granted in years that exceptional candidates are not nominated.
The recipient of the Carroll N. LeTellier Award must be a member in good standing of The Citadel Alumni Association at the time of their nomination. The recipient must be selected by a vote of the Awards committee, and then forwarded to The CAA Executive committee, before being approved by 2/3rds vote of The CAA Board.
This award is presented to recipients at an event held by The CAA during Homecoming Week and recognized in the Alumni News.
Nominations for this award shall include detailed and specific information on each of the above criteria.
