C. Moseley Oliver Soule of Pensacola died peacefully January 1, 2022 surrounded by family at home after a lengthy illness. He was 81. Oliver, known as Ollie, was the third of six children of William Latten and Mary Moseley Oliver Soule, a 1959 graduate of Pensacola Catholic High School, and a 1963 graduate of The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina.
A third-generation bridge builder, he spent his career in the construction industry. He was a man full of life that loved to laugh and a good party. He enjoyed sunsets, being on the water, golf, good music, reading great books, poetry, and traveling. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Mary Jane Rocheblave Soule and his children Moseley (Laura) Soule, Meg (Bill) Busch, Caroline (Andy) Mueller, David Soule, and Brian (Brandi) Soule; grandchildren Trey (Moseley III), Meghan (Caleb) Kane, Taylor (Thomas) Wilkinson, Susie and Grace Busch, Ensign John Mueller USN, Benjamin and Elizabeth Mueller, Austin Simmons, Ally (Bradley) Mathis, and Emma Simmons, great-grandchildren Teddy Kane, Anneliese and Avila Wilkinson.
He is also survived by the mother of his four older children, Susan Uebelacker Soule, of Pensacola; and his siblings, Gay Duncan of Pensacola; Bill and Peggy Soule of Newland NC; Bunny and Bill Gamble of Selma AL; Cindy and Tommy Davis of Birmingham AL; and John and Susan Soule of Pensacola; his brothers-in-law Lewis (Helen) Rocheblave and Bill Rocheblave of Pensacola, his many nieces and nephews and numerous loving cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church on Mon. Jan. 3rd, 3pm, celebrated by Rev. Dr. Michael Hoffman.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 N. 12th Ave, Pensacola FL 32504.
