o know Dick Hamilton was to know “character” and “a character” in every respect. Larger than life, his booming voice and kind and boyish grin captured the hearts of all who met him.
His childhood friends, cousins, T company Citadel mates, and family can keep you laughing all day with epic tales and pranks. A Santa hat and Christmas attire of every description were part of any encounter with “Grandaddy” this time of year. He was a big kid with a white beard, a huge heart, and many many stories to tell. He had a great love for cinema and had endless classic movie trivia to share Christmas movies were his absolute favorite. He was equally proud to share his love for “His Heavenly Father”, and “The reason for the season” and prayed all would come to understand the blessings that come with faith in Christ.
