Frank A. Heinrich, 66, of Hilton Head, SC, died Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at his residence. Funeral Mass on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 10:30am, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with interment in Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors, presiding by Monsignor Cellini. Frank was born on July 1, 1959 in Tripoli, Libya. He is the son of the late Frank West Heinrich and Alyce Sorry Heinrich. Frank loved the ocean and lived life with energy and intention. He could often be found doing ocean swims, fitting in a workout, sailing, or gathering his family around the table for dinner. He had a gift for turning any moment into what he jokingly called “mandatory fun,” a phrase that perfectly captured his playful spirit and deep love for togetherness. Frank taught all of his children how to sail and how to tie knots, lessons that extended far beyond the water—showing them patience, confidence, and resilience. He never missed a sporting event and was always present, cheering from the sidelines and offering guidance when it mattered most. Above all, Frank was an extraordinary mentor and father, the kind every child hopes for, and his legacy lives on in the lives he shaped and the love he gave so freely. Surviving are sons, Matthew, Alex, Franky and Jonathan; daughters, Ashley and Danelle; brothers, Edwin and Mark; sister, Francene; six grandchildren.
