Demetrie J (Mimi) Liatos, 80, of Greenville, died Saturday, April 29, 2018. Born in Charleston, SC., Demetrie was the son of the late John Pano and Anna Manos Liatos.
Demetrie was a graduate of The Citadel and earned his law degree from the University of Richmond Law School. He also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Surviving are his two sons, John D. Liatos and his wife Itir of New York and Jordan D. Liatos of Greenville; granddaughter, Elis Liatos; nieces, Electra Maria Liatos, Alexandria, VA and Anna Haupt (Kelly) of Virginia Beach, VA and nephew, Dr. Stephen Pano Haupt of Virginia Beach, VA.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 11am at Mackey at Century Dr with Father Tom Pistolis officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday morning prior to the service from 9:30 until 11am. The Trisagion Prayer will be conducted prior to the service.
