Emily Ann Weatherly, 77,of Latta, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence. Services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Latta Presbyterian Church with burial in Alford Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Born in Florence, SC, December 18, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Emily Dantzler Weatherly and Daniel McPhaul Weatherly. She was a member of Latta Presbyterian Church. Ann was a graduate of Latta High School, Palmer College, and Pembroke State University. She also received a Masters of Education from The Citadel, and Masters of Art from Georgia Southern University. She taught in North and South Carolina public and private schools, as well as a part time instructor with Florence-Darlington Technical College. While living in Savannah, Georgia she was a staff artist for Savannah News & Press. She owned and operated Weatherly Gallery in Latta, SC until she retired. Art and Education were her passions. For the past 14 years Ann was a resident of Morningside Assisted Living in Hartsville, SC. Survivors include her sister, Dana Weatherly Russell of Saluda, NC; niece, Dr. Rebecca Russell Hall Boles (Lt. Col. Joe) of Cherryville, NC; nephew, Charles Marion Russell (Priscilla) of Florence, SC; four great nephews and one great great nephew. Memorials may be made to Latta Presbyterian Church, 207 E. Bamberg St., P.O. Box 5, Latta, SC 29565. The family will be receiving friends at 1310 Richard St., Dillon, SC.
