Anderson Stewart, of Savannah, Ga., departed this life at the age of 44 in Shreveport, LA. A devoted educator, beloved brother, and lifelong learner, Anderson touched the lives of countless people through his kindness, intellect, and unwavering dedication to teaching and service.
Anderson Stewart was born in Scarborough, Tobago on June 7, 1981, to Joseph Stewart and Eula Kay Stewart. He was baptized at Israelite Baptist Church.
Anderson was educated in the Beaufort County Schools System (Hilton Head High School). He was a proud graduate from the Citadel Military School, Charleston, SC where he excelled in academics and leadership. He received a degree from Middlebury College. Anderson spent the past 20 years enriching the lives of students across the United States. As a private school teacher, he taught in Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, and most recently in Louisiana at St. Mark’s Cathedral School, teaching Spanish.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Joseph Stewart, Savannah, Ga., and Eula Kay Stewart, Tobago; one sister Stacey John (Jason Price); two brothers Jerome Stewart (Brittany), Derron Stewart (Shanteze), of Fayetteville, NC., Uncles: Erron and Edward Stewart, Tobago; Aunts: Susan
Stewart, W. Palm Beach, FL.; Frankie Sparrow (Jesse), Cynthia Holly (John) of Bloomingdale, GA. Marsha Johnson, Gertrude Jones, Francina (Tina) Johnson. Eunice Batie, all of Savannah, GA., five nieces and two nephews and a host of cousins, family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2025, at Israelite Baptist Church, 220 E 31st St, Savannah, GA 31401.
