Glennan Clark “Dickie”Reeves, Jr. of St. George, South Carolina, formerly of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025. A Celebration of Dickie’s Life will be held at a later date. Dickie was born in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Glennan Clark “Mickey” Reeves, Sr. and the late Faye Patrick Reeves. He was a graduate of St. Andrews High School and Winthrop University and earned a Master of Education degree from The Citadel. Dickie spent much of his career teaching history, social studies, and American Government at St. John’s Christian Academy, where he shared his knowledge and passion for the subjects with his students. An avid sportsman, Dickie loved the camaraderie of quail and dove hunting with others who shared his appreciation for the sport. He also enjoyed fishing in the creeks surrounding the Edisto River. Dickie is survived by a sister, Edye Reeves Graves of Edisto Island, SC; nephew, Patrick Graves and wife, Stephanie, of Coral Gables, FL; niece, Molly Graves Mitchell and husband, James, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; great-nieces, Mia Graves, Gabrielle Graves, and Cecilia Mitchell; and first cousins, Beth Westelaken of Aiken, SC, and Lisa Ford of Manning, SC.
