Edward A. Allen, age 87, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016. Mr. Allen was a lifelong resident of Pensacola, FL. He attended Citadel Military College; he served in the U. S. Army; and was retired from the Escambia County School System. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Pensacola. Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Sue Parker Allen; and his children: David Wesley, Rebecca Sue, and Amy Elizabeth. He is survived by his son: John Edward Allen of Gulf Breeze, FL; his daughter: Lee Ann Pugh and husband, Ron of Gulf Breeze, FL; three grandchildren: Joshua Pugh, and wife, Carolyn; Cameron Anderson Allen, and wife, Casey Lynn; Jason Pugh, and wife, Becca; three great-grandchildren: Madelynn Pugh; Kendall Pugh; and Charlie Sue Allen; his sister: Olive Ann Patterson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from 1:30pm until 2:30pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel. The funeral service will be in the funeral home chapel at 2:30pm.
