John McDonald Brisben, 83, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Frances Hallmark Crosby, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 31, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, January 3, 2016, in Park Circle Presbyterian Church, 4701 Park Place West, at 4:00 p.m. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. John was born November 24, 1932 in Bennington, Nebraska, son of the late Wayne E. Brisben and Sylvia Wagner Brisben. He was the retired Chief Financial Officer from Charleston Air Force Base and a member of Park Circle Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Frances of North Charleston; brother, George H. Brisben of Hanahan, SC; granddaughter, Lanie Brisben of Hartsville, SC; and several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his first wife of 53 years, Olga Delores Thompson Brisben and son, Charles “Charlie” J. Brisben.
