Donald B. Hamilton, age 90, of Ocala, FL passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. He was born in Roslyn, New York on September 21, 1924. He was educated at The Citadel in Charleston, SC. He served as a combat fighter pilot in the Army Air Corp during WWII. After returning from the war he entered into civilian life where he became the President of the R.B. Hamilton Companies. He was a generous contributor of time to charitable causes including the Marion Therapeutic Riding Association (MTRA) and the American Cancer Society. He was also a member of Kiwanis. He was an active church leader of St Martin’s Church in Ocala, FL. He is survived by wife of 68 years Dorothy M. Hamilton, sons Craig and Scott Hamilton, daughters Patricia Ingraham and Maureen Hamilton, sister Audrey Fearn, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at St George Anglican Cathedral, 5646 Southeast 28th Street, Ocala, FL 34480 on Saturday, January 3, 2014 at 12 Noon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Wounded Warriors in memory of Donald B.
