Charles K. “Charlie” Driggers, 80, of North Chesterfield, VA, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Carolyn Strange Driggers; his children, Ken (Sally), Kay (Jeff), Lynn (Steve) and Scott (Dana); six grandchildren, Kenny, Jenny, Amanda, Keegan, Simone and Skylar; two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Charlie was graduated from the Citadel in Charleston, S.C. He served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of the Chester Jaycees and retired from Reynolds Metals as a safety engineer in the can division with over 20 years of service. He loved playing golf, listening to music, dancing and going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, every January. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Bliley’s-Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Rd., with graveside services to be held at 1 p.m. in Dale Memorial Park.
