SUMTER, S.C. – Daniel Eugene Danny Bradford, 32, died Thursday, January 22, 2004, in St. Kitts, West Indies. Born in Sumter, he was a son of Dr. Linwood G. Bradford and Shellie Simpson Bradford. Mr. Bradford was a member of Church Creek Presbyterian Church in Charleston. He was a graduate of Thomas Sumter Academy, a 1995 graduate of The Citadel where he was commander of Kilo Company, a member of the Summerall Guards and the Junior Sword Drill. While at the Citadel he earned the Parachute Badge and Air Assault Badge. He was currently a graduate student of the School of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University in St. Kitts, West Indies. He was President of the Emergency Veterinary Medicine Club at Ross University. Surviving are his parents of Sumter; three brothers, Linwood G. Gray Bradford, Jr., of Cary, N.C., Rev. Davy Bradford of Savannah, Ga., and Nat Bradford of Seneca, S.C.; a sister, Joy Bradford of Clemson, S.C.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Theron Bradford of Sumter; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Simpson. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Rev. Walt Kendall, Rev. E.C. Wittig officiating. Burial will be in the Sumter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roland Russell, Tim Russell, Bobby Russell, Vic Jones, Jimmy Newman and John Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Craig Jones, Chris McDuffie, James Ray, Roosevelt Taylor, Jim Lemmon, Chris Crolley, Cameron Tanner, and Pel Bradford. The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, 5275 DuBose Siding Road.
