SIMONS, Lewis Lewis Simons, 80, husband of Rosalie Ruschmeyer Simons, of Sullivan s Island died Sunday, February 29, 2004. The memorial service will be Thursday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MT. PLEASANT CHAPEL, at 2:00 o clock. Mr. Simons was born July 2, 1923 in Savannah, GA, son of Major Lewis Simons and Eleanor Arnold Cosens Simons. He graduated from The Citadel, Class of 1944, and served as an Infantry Officer in the European Theatre in World War II. He was later a Civil Engineer with the federal government. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Rosalie Ruschmeyer Simons, two sisters, Eleanor Cosens Simons Miller of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and Maud Bryan Simons Ollis of Florida; one niece, Sarah Bryan Miller Rix of St. Louis MO and one nephew, Thomas Wade Hampton Miller of Alaska.
