NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. – Mr. John W. ‘Buck’ Bradley, 86, beloved husband of sixty-six years to Frances Strom Bradley, of Jeffrey Street, entered into rest Sunday, November 6, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, 2005, in the chapel of Rowland Funeral Home with Dr. Gary C. Redding officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Rowland Funeral Home one hour prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, George Miller and Tommy McGrath. Mr. Bradley was a native of McCormick, SC. He was a graduate of the Citadel and was a U. S. Army veteran. He served as an Artillery Officer in Europe during World War II and attained the rank of Major. He was a member of the Jesse C. Lynch American Legion Post 71 of North Augusta and a Life Member of the McCormick Mine Masonic Lodge 117. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Augusta. Mr. Bradley retired from E. I. Dupont, Savannah River Site as an Accounting Analyst. He was a member of ‘Just Kids’, and Club 55 bowling leagues at Brunswick Lanes. Additional survivors include a son, John W. Bradley, Jr. of Hephzibah; a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Swain Morris of North Augusta; four grandchildren, Jack Bradley Hodge (Renee), Ginger Greenway (Jerry), Christy Starnes (Kevin), Shawn Issac Bradley (Tami); nine great-grandchildren, Brannon Beeler, Callie Hodge, Dillon Greenway, Tori Starnes, Bradley Hodge, Bailey Hodge, Brinley Hodge, Tanner Starnes and Ethan Bradley. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Swain Morris, 2009 Torry Avenue, North Augusta, SC. Memorials may be made to The Children’s Learning Center at First Baptist Church of North Augusta, 602 Georgia Avenue, North Augusta, SC 29841. Rowland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
