Nathaniel G. Sims, of 39 Weavers Hill Road, Mount Kisco, New York, passed away on March 15, 2006 in Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco. He is survived by his wife Grace, two daughters: Janet Sims of Somers, NY, and Marilyn Sullivan of Old Greenwich, Connecticut, four grandsons: Ricky, Sam, John and Bob, and one sister Janelle Lowry of Charlotte, North Carolina. He was born in Columbia, South Carolina on September 24, 1916, the son of Alma and Algie Sims. He was educated in the elementary schools of Baltimore and Atlanta. He graduated from the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina with academic and military honors, and the Law school of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He served in the European theatre during World War II in Counter Intelligence. He received the bronze star for his work with prisoners. He practiced law in Charlotte, North Carolina and practiced law with Union Carbine Corporation from 1952 until his retirement. He has been active in St. Mark’s Church in Mount Kisco, serving twice as Junior and Senior Warden. He has lived in the town of New Castle for 44 years.
