James William Kiser, Jr. of Mount Holly died Friday, June 1st at his residence. He was 45. Capt. Kiser was born in Gastonia, NC October 31, 1961, the son of the late James W. Kiser, Sr. and Elizabeth W. Kiser. He was a 1980 graduate of Bessemer City High School in North Carolina and a 1984 Graduate of the Citadel in Charleston, SC. Capt. Kiser entered the US Air Force upon his graduation and served five years active duty in the 6th Airlift Squadron at McGuire AFB and seven years in the reserves. After his service, he worked for Civil Service as an inspector of Air Force Bases. He was the owner of Citadel Associates and Citadel Vending and he was a member of Bessemer City Lodge #515 F&AM. Capt. Kiser is survived by two children: a daughter Leah and a son, JW of Mount Holly; two sisters: Priscilla K. Rankin and her husband John of Belmont, NC and Jenny L. Kiser of Bessemer City, NC and three nieces. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the PERINCHIEF CHAPELS, 438 High Street, Mount Holly. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the SISK-BUTLER FUNERAL HOME in Bessemer City, NC with interment in Westview Gardens Cemetery.
