Herman Robinson CHARLESTON, S.C.- Mr. Herman Clarence Kooksie Robinson died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001. Funeral Mass Wednesday 1 p.m., Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Sullivan’s Island. Burial in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Robinson, a Charleston native, was a 1938 graduate of The Citadel. He was a captain in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Robinson was the retired owner of Robinson Furniture Co. Surviving: his wife, Barbara Condon Robinson; sons, Bill Robinson of Beaufort and Randy Robinson, Richard Condon Robinson and Robby Robinson Jr., all of Charleston; daughters, Barbara Robinson Wilkerson of Greenville, N.C., Sally Robinson Whitlock, Paula Robinson Davis and Cindy Robinson Compton, all of Charleston; sister, Mrs. Jack W. Simmons of Charleston; 20 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Visitation today 5-7 p.m., McAlister-Smith Funeral Home.
