Greenville James Hardy Craig Sr., 85, formerly of 8 Columbia Circle, husband of Anne Morris Craig, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Richard Campbell Nursing Home. Born in Baugh, Tenn., he was the son of the late Edward M. and Bessie Louise Hardy Craig. Mr. Craig was retired from Fluor Daniel and was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, where he was past president of the Methodist Men’s Group. Surviving, in addition to his wife of 56 years, are two daughters, Peggy Anne Culpepper and her husband, Harry, of Belton, Mary Alice Vernon and her husband, David, of Horn Lake, Miss. two sons, James Hardy Jim Craig Jr. and his wife, Angie, of Lyman, William E. Billy Craig and his wife, Deborah, of Greer a sister, Eleanor C. Emrick of Auburn, Ala. seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Craig Crum and a brother, William Edward Craig. Visitation will be held tonight, Feb. 17, 2005, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 18, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
