BROWN, SR., Wayne Entered into eternal rest on the evening of June 17, 2005, Wayne Gordan Brown, Sr., retired Dry Dock Safety Inspector for the Charleston Naval Shipyard, and husband of Faye Croft Brown. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne G. Brown, Sr. are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, in Ft. Johnson Baptist Church, Monday, June 20, 2005 at eleven o’clock. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Sunday between six and eight o’clock. Mr. Brown was born May 5, 1931 in Charleston, SC, the son of Barney and Corea Oats Brown. He was a member of Ft. Johnson Baptist Church, Past Master and life member of James Island Lodge #396, Past Senior Grand Deacon of the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of the State of S.C., Past President and Life Member of the Lowcountry Past Masters Unit, Past District Deputy Grand Master for the Second Masonic District, and a member of S.C. Masonic Research Society, Omar Shrine Temple, and the Scottish Rite. Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; three sons, Wayne G. Brown, Jr. and his wife Debbie of DeRidder, LA., Michael A. Brown and his wife Robin of Seattle, WA., Grady E. Brown of Charleston, S.C.; one brother Danny Brown of Florida; five sisters, Adele Ashford of Arkansas, Juanita Miller of Charleston, S.C., Wilma Maherg and Betty Boyd of Summerville, S.C., and Ocie Davis of Charleston, S.C.; five grandchildren.
