PIEDMONT, S.C. — Arvel Richard ”Trey” Reeves III, 25, of 135 Wilson Way, died Monday, February 7, 2005. Born in Greenville County, the son of Arvel Richard ”Dick” and Mary Manges Reeves, Jr. of Piedmont, Trey was a 1998 graduate of Wren High School and graduated from The Citadel in 2002 where he was XO of Delta Company, was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church, and was co-host of ”The Opening Drive” on radio 104.9 FM. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Anna R. Steele and her husband, John R. Steele, Jr., of Easley his grandmother, Bernice Reeves of Pickens a niece, Emerson Steele, and a nephew, Jack Steele aunts and uncles, Carol and Don Grant of Pickens, Gretchen Ellison of Easley, Faye Daniel of Madisonville, TN cousins, Don and Christina Grant, Jr. of Greenville, Wes Ellison of Easley and Missy Neal of Knoxville, TN special extended families, the O’Maras, the Gilfillans and the Sytsmas of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Trey was predeceased by grandparents, Arvel R. Reeves, Sr., Dorothy Emerson Manges and Daniel Edmund Manges. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday at St. Michael Lutheran Church, Greenville, with the Reverend Robert Miles officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Robinson Funeral Home, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley. The family is at the home of John and Anna Steele, 606 Shadow Oaks Drive, Easley, SC 29642. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorials be made to the Special Olympics South Carolina, Inc., PO Box 210099, Columbia, SC 29221 or to the charity of one’s choice.
