KlemmeJr.,AlbertWilliam HIGH POINT ù; Albert William Klemme, Jr. of the Presbyterian Home died Sunday, August 19, 2007 at the Presbyterian Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church by Rev.Barry P. Osborne and Rev. Jill Auman. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Klemme was born January 21, 1927 in High Point a son of Albert William Klemme, Sr. and Gertrude Goldston Klemme. A resident of High Point most of his life, he graduated from the Citadel University. He was owner and operator of the High Point Glass and Decorative Co. He was a former member and president of the Stain Glass Association. He was a former member of the High Point Rotary Club and received the Paul Harris Fellow and was a former member of the High Point Jaycees. He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and was active in the Sunday School and usher. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Margaret Miller and Helen Hutton. On June 27, 1953 , he married Dixie Gray Wilson who survives of the Presbyterian Home. Also surviving are two daughters Karen Klemme Cooke and her husband Brad of High Point and Jerri Klemme Flinn and husband Keith of Savannah, GA., one son Albert William Klemme, III and wife Samantha of High Point, six grandchildren Alexandra and Katie Cooke, Will and Caroline Klemme and Grant and Linzy Flinn. The family will receive friends in the Asbury Room after the service. Memorials may be directed to Wesley M memorial United Methodist Church, 1225 Chestnut Dr., High Point, N.C. 27262 or to the Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandia, Va. 22312.
