Hunter, William H. WILLIAM H. HUNTER, age 82 of Houston passed away on July 10, 2006. He was born on August 22, 1923 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. Bill served proudly in the U.S. Army in World War II having been in the European Theatre for 37 months. Following the war, he graduated from The Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina. Bill was employed for 31 years with Armco, Inc. and National Supply Co. and then later worked for Tubular Sales, Inc. for 7 years. During his career, he was a member of the API, American Iron and Steel Institute, and Lakeside Country Club. Bill was an active member and elder of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Joanne; daughter Kathleen and her husband Terry Scanlan of Edwards, Colorado; daughter Sally and her husband Mark Keddal of Seguin, Texas; son William, Jr. and wife Mary Ellen of San Antonio, Texas; and grandchildren Erin, Ashleigh, Meghan, and Patrick Scanlan; Owen Keddal; and Will, Grace, Luke and Jack Hunter. A memorial celebration will be held at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at 3:00 pm.
