Edward R. Dickerson III Easley Edward Ray Dickerson III, 59, of 406 Stonewall Drive, Easley, husband of Linda McCrackin Dickerson, died March 22, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. A native of Clarkesville, Tenn., he was a son of Frances Davis Dickerson of Monroe, N.C., and the late John Rigdon Dickerson. Formerly of Charleston, S.C., Mr. Dickerson was a 1968 graduate of the Citadel. He was owner and operator of Chick-Fil-A of Easley, was a member of Easley Rotary, FCA, and was a member of the Board of Visitors of Charleston Southern University. He also attended Rock Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard Patrick and Regina Dickerson of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Daniel Rayburn and Marie Allain Dickerson of Charleston, S.C.; two daughters, Stephanie Estelle Dickerson of Charleston and Tamara Dickerson Smyth and husband, Todd, of Mt. Pleasant; a brother, John Hugh Dickerson of Monroe, N.C.; two sisters, Suzanne Thacher of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Kay Sabik of Atlanta, Ga.; and six grandchildren, James Edward Dickerson, Andrew Dickerson, Palmer Smyth, Greer Smyth, Elisabeth-Claire Dickerson, Gwendolyn Dickerson — and more to come. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church, with the Revs. Jack Jones, Chad Albertson, and Jack Hester officiating. Interment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Robinson Funeral Home, Powdersville Road. The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the James Edward Dickerson Scholarship Fund, c/o People’s Bank, P.O. Box 1989, Easley, SC 29641.
