Dr. Charles Harry Truluck, Jr., age 77, of Lynchburg, SC, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at a Florence hospital after an illness. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Sardis Baptist Church with burial at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 1 pm until the time of the service at the church. Born in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Charles Harry Truluck, Sr. and Lonie Huff Truluck. Dr. Truluck was a graduate of The Citadel and The Medical University of South Carolina. He was a retired Physician with Pee Dee Ear, Nose and Throat in Florence, a Captain of The United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War, and a member of Sardis Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Truluck Godwin. Surviving are his wife, Elaine Carter Truluck of Lynchburg. Two daughters, Catherine Truluck Waldo (Whit G., III) of Hutto, TX and Caroline Truluck Paolillo (Mark W.) of Venice, FL. A son, Charles Harry Truluck, III (Donna Klein) of Jacksonville, FL. A step-daughter, Shannon E. Carter of Sardis. A stepson, John M. Carter of Sardis. Four grandchildren, Whitson G. Waldo, IV, Thomason R. Waldo, Katherine E. Paolillo and Jacob W. Paolillo.
