Richard H. Miller passed away Oct 21, 2012 in Santa Fe, NM. He was born on August 18, 1934 in Staunton, IL. He graduated with a BA in History from The Citadel; The Military College of South Carolina in 1957. He was a former Regular Army Officer who commanded a 280 mm M-65 in the Seventh Army. He resigned his commission after 4 years and attended The University of South Carolina School of Law where he graduated in 1966. He married Faye Bruce MD in 1967 and they moved to NM. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy O. and Mary C. Miller and brother, Roy O. Miller. After the move to NM he joined the USNR, retiring in 1994 with the rank of Captain. He was retired from the Naval Intelligence, the Bar of the US Supreme Court, and The University of California (Los Alamos, NM). He was active in the Baker Street Irregulars having been invested as “The Brice Patterson’s of the Island of UFFA” in 1982.He was also a prolific reader and especially involved as a military historian and published a number of articles for the Officer Review of the MOWW. He was a member of the MOWW (Santa Fe Chapter). He is survived by his wife Faye, numerous cousins, and his faithful and boon companion Moose2 (Jr. Terrier).Services will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Berardinelli Chapel at 1:00pm.
