Gregory Orestes Theos, 81, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Helen Malis Theos passed away Friday, September 28, 2012. Greg was born February 20, 1931 in New York City, son of Nicholas and Marika Theos. He was a 1951 Citadel graduate, a graduate of Wharton School of Business, and University of South Carolina Law School. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and a retired Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. An attorney for over 50 year with Shimel, Ackerman, Theos & Spar, he was a member of the S.C. Bar Association, the Greek Orthodox Church, past President of the Greek Orthodox Church, past President of the Breakfast Exchange Club, a member of the Sertoma Club of Charleston, a member of the Citadel Brigadier Club, and a member of AHEPA. Surviving are his wife, Helen Theos, a son, Nicholas G. Theos (Linda) of Atlanta, GA, a daughter, Christina Theos Adams (Eddie) of Seneca, SC, four beloved grandchildren: Helaina and Caroline Theos, Gregory and James Adams, and a sister Helen Theos Homer of Atlanta, GA. In lieu of flowers donations be me made to the Greek Orthodox Church Endowment Fund, 30 Race Street, Charleston, SC 29403. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street at 11:00 am. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, with a Trisagion Service at 6:00 pm.
