Donald “Don” Leroy Eargle age 77, of Pawleys Island, loving, father and grandfather, died Friday, September 21, 2012 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, SC, he was a son of the late Berley Leroy and Mary Lee Eargle. Don a graduate of The Citadel had retired from Bell South. He also proudly retired as Lt. Col. in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Don loved and enjoyed his family and his farm. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Wilson Eargle. Survivors include his 2 daughters, Cindy Ross (Doug) Ross of Alpharetta, GA and Tricia Brok (Martin) of Lake Oswego, OR; grandchildren, Matthew Ross and Jonathan Ross of Alpharetta, GA, Ian, Caroline and Lauren Brok all of Lake Oswego, OR and a beloved friend, Patsy Saunders of Mt. Pleasant. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at St. Peters Lutheran Church with Pastor David Lyle officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, September 24, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Pawleys/Litchfield Chapel.
