Valerie Caroline Gaddy , of Charleston, age 43, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Surviving are her parents, Johnny and Glenda Gaddy of Lake View SC, brother, Mark Gaddy (Karen) of Charleston, companion Pamela Elizabeth Heine of Mount Pleasant, SC., and numerous loving relatives and friends. Predeceased are her grandparents, Leon and Eunice Gaddy, and Paul and Peggy Sanderson. Valerie was born on July 14, 1967 in Lumberton, NC. She graduated from Pee Dee Academy in Mullins, SC and Clemson University in 1989 with a degree in Secondary Education. Valerie was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She was awarded her Masters of Education Degree from The Citadel in 1995. Valerie began her career in education as a math teacher with the Berkeley County School District upon her graduation in 1989. Valerie was a beloved math instructor at Hanahan High School. Valerie will be remembered by her family and friends for her radiant smile, kind heart, fun-loving spirit and quick wit. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8th at the First Baptist Church of Lake View, SC with burial to follow at the Lake View Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home in Lake View. A memorial service will also be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10th at the Circular Congregational Church on Meeting Street in Charleston, SC.
