Lewis John Frampton, 85, of 1240 Shadow Way died Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Born in Charleston, Mr. Frampton was a son of the late Joel Wyman Frampton and Lucille Cobia Frampton. A retired banker, he was last employed by Greenville National Bank and Regions Bank. He served in the Third Infantry Division of the U. S. Army during World War II and was a graduate of the Citadel. Mr. Frampton is survived by two daughters, Lynn F. Pickett and her husband Thomas of Athens, Ga., and Lisa Frampton of Greenville; two sons, Lewis John Frampton, Jr. and his wife Jane of Apex, N. C., and Robert D. Frampton of Greenville; a sister, Gertrude F. Todd of Asheville, N. C.; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Frampton of Huntsville, Ala. He was predeceased by his wife, Lenora Donnelly Frampton; a sister, Harriet F. Orzsula; and five brothers, Joel, Walter, Henry, Charles, and Jesse Frampton. Services will be held Saturday, May 14th at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church where Mr. Frampton was a longtime member. Pastors Pamela Patrick Cole and George Moore will officiate. Friends are invited to visit with the family in the adjacent church parlor from one o’clock until half past two. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
