Hyman B. Olasov, CGC ’71 Hyman Olasov, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on the evening of Wednesday, July 21, 2010, Hyman B. Olasov, widower of Mary Sasser Olasov. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Hyman B. Olasov are invited to attend his funeral services, Monday, July 26, 2010, at eleven-thirty o’clock, Graveside at Beth Elohim Cemetery (Huguenin Avenue). Hyman was born on April 5, 1914, in Charleston, SC, the son of Benjamin Olasov and Sophye Patla Olasov. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and a retired school teacher. He also taught at The Citadel and the College of Charleston. He is survived by his son, Benjamin Olasov of San Francisco, CA; one brother, Alvin D. Olasov of Charleston, SC; and sister-in-law Faye Olasov. He is predeceased by his brother, Sanford Olasov and his sister, Rita Olasov Black.
