David Neville Goin, entered into the church triumphant on February 26, 2010, David Goin, age 66, of Summerville, SC. Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, March 5th at 11:00 am at Dorchester Presbyterian Church, 10290 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC. The family will receive visitors immediately after the service in the church fellowship hall. Interment will be private. David was born in Gainesville, Florida, the youngest son of Sanford Goin and Elisabeth Henderson Goin. He was blessed with four of his uncles and aunts all living in Gainesville along with their children. He was predeceased in death by his parents, his brother Crit Goin and his sister Mary Elisabeth Goin. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 38 years, Jan Muller Goin of Summerville, SC, his brother Sanford Goin and his brother’s partner Stark Smith both of New York City, his sister-in-law Eleanor Muller Crosby (Mrs. David Friddle) of Conway SC, his nephew John Muller Crosby and his wife Sherri of Florence and his cousins Penny Chappell (Arthur) of Lakeland, FL, Rosemary Hughes (widow of Charles Hughes), her children Marie and Charles Hughes, Virginia Black (Mrs. Hunter), Tom Price, Lynda Goin Richmond (Mrs. David) and CJ Goin. David was a graduate of the College of Charleston and was a member of Alpha Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi. He loved the college where he met his wife and his fraternity brothers with whom he had many longstanding friendships. Most recently, David was employed by Pearson Professional Testing in North Charleston where he served as a test administrator. He had retired in 2005 from the Berkeley County School District where he taught middle schoolers. From 1974 to 1995 he was owner/manager with his wife of the Jan Goin Gallery on King Street in downtown Charleston.
