Geoffrey Taylor Street, 22, succumbed to injuries, August 6, 2010, following a motorcycle accident in Geoffrey Street CHARLESTON – Geoffrey Taylor Street, 22, succumbed to injuries, August 6, 2010, following a motorcycle accident in Charleston, South Carolina. He was a May, 2010 graduate of the Citadel Military College of South Carolina and received his commission as an officer in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the ROTC program at The Citadel where he was a business major. He was a 1999 graduate of Perkiomen School in Pennsburg, PA, and a 1995 graduate of Westchester Friends School in Westchester, PA. Geoff’s interests included leadership in a diverse world, chess, world travel and spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his parents, H. Fletcher and Barbara Mattos Street of Coatesville, PA and Falmouth, Mass.; his fiance;e Corey Hutchins of Dallas, Texas and her parents, Richard and Francis Hutchins; his grandmother, Jean VanCampen Mattos; his aunts Ruth Grant, Susan Mattos and Margaret Wheeler; Uncles Jim Mattos and Robert Wheeler; cousins Leah Mattos, Lelia Leary and her husband Jason, Barbara Grant, Emelia Grant and her husband Pablo Zauzich, Clayton Mitchell and his wife Rachelle, and Seth Mattos and his wife Heather along with second cousins Kai, Avery, and Peyton. A memorial service is planned for October 9th at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 11:00 a.m., on 3055 Main St., Barnstable, Mass. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Perkiomen School, 200 Seminary St., Pennsburg, PA 18073 (Perkiomen.org\donate); or at The Citadel Foundation, 171 Moultrie St., Charleston, South Carolina 29709. A scholarship fund dedicated to diversity in education and in support of service learning will be established at both institutions in Geoff’s name.
