Edward Dmytryk, 62, passed away Au¡ gust 8th at Ocala Regional Hospital after waging a long battle with cancer. Son of the late William and Margaret Dmytryk, Edward, had lived in the Palm Coast and St. Augustine area for over 15 years. He had been active in his com¡ munity and a respected businessman in North East Florida and Texas for many decades. He was currently on the Board of Di¡ rectors of Park City Group Incorporated, a software development firm. After graduating with honors from Citadel Military College, in Charleston South Carolina in 1968, Edward joined the United States Air Force and rose to the rank of captain, serving his country as a fighter pilot and a flight instructor during the years of the Vietnam Conflict. After returning to civilian life he became a successful businessman in real estate, and owner or partner of several business ventures over the following decades. Eddie was preceded in death by his first wife, Diane, and leaves behind his loving present wife, Cynthia Stuart Dmytryk, of Palm Coast; a daughter, Erika Dmytryk of Gainesville; and a son, Michael Dmytryk of Tampa; a brother, John Dmytryk, of Ormond Beach; and a sister, Martha Robertson of Massapequa, New York; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie will be forever remembered for his wonderful smile, his sense of humor and his love for his family and his friends. A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 16th at St Mary’s Episcopal Church, 216 Orange Avenue, Daytona Beach Florida. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
