Robert K. “Bob” Wenhold died Friday, June 13, 2008, at his home in Horsham. He was 65. Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Kenneth B. and Eleanor (Cope) Wenhold. He was a graduate of Valley Forge Military Academy, Class of 1961, and The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, Class of 1966. He entered the U.S. Navy and served in Vietnam aboard the aircraft carrier Ranger. After completing his service, he returned to school and received his masters in business administration from Temple University. Bob was an avid boater and was a member of the Wilmington Power Squadron. He received his U.S. Coast Guard captains license in 2008. He was a program manager for Merck & Co. prior to his retirement in 2005. Bob was the beloved husband of Mary Jane (Howard) Wenhold; the devoted father of Victoria “Vicki” Sherry (Michael) of Glenside and David H. Wenhold (Nicole) of Doylestown; and the loving grandfather of Matthew Kenneth and Owen Robert Sherry and Paige Nicole Wenhold. He is also survived by his brother, William R. Wenhold of Somers Point, N.J. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, at St. Alphonsus Church, 33 Conwell Drive, Maple Glen where his funeral Mass will begin at 11. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.
