The Citadel Alumni Association Contributes to Scholarships

The Citadel Alumni Association capped off a banner year of giving at its annual membership meeting. The Association will contribute $900,000 to support college operations, CAA legacy cadet and need-based scholarships, and enhance The Citadel’s Service to Country Tuition Scholarships and National Service Room and Board Scholarships for ROTC cadets.

  • Rev. Karen Lewis Crawford, CGC ’04, received her Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Christian theology from Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University on Dec. 13, 2025. She serves as an assistant pastor of discipleship at Illuminate Church in Ladson.
  • On January 5 the Thailand Citadel Club delegation, led by Gen. Jedsada Premnirundon, ’84, and Cadet Aaron B. Yarnell, ’27, visited Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy and the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School, touring their facilities, sharing leadership insights, and connecting with cadets there. They later honored the late Queen Sirikit at the Grand Palace.

  • CDR Thomas L. (Lamer) Kellner, USN, ’07, assumed command of the Eagles of Training Squadron SEVEN (VT-7) onboard NAS Meridian, Miss., on Nov. 21, 2025.  VT-7 flies the T-45C Goshawk and trains students in the fundamentals of Naval strike aviation, preparing them to earn their Wings of Gold.
  • Austin Gray, '13, was featured in a Virginia Tech news article about his work on microplastics.
