The Citadel Alumni Association Contributes to Scholarships

The Citadel Alumni Association capped off a banner year of giving at its annual membership meeting. The Association will contribute $900,000 to support college operations, CAA legacy cadet and need-based scholarships, and enhance The Citadel’s Service to Country Tuition Scholarships and National Service Room and Board Scholarships for ROTC cadets.

  • Col Randy Bresnik, USMC, Ret., '89, was named commander of NASA's 2027 Artemis III mission. The mission will undertake a series of challenging tests in Earth orbit in 2027, essential for Artemis IV, the first planned crewed mission to the lunar South Pole in 2028.

  • LCDR Jon E. Paris, Jr., USN, Ret., ‘05, retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service.
  • On June 8, 2021, The Citadel began demolition of Capers Hall. The new Capers Hall opened in 2023.
  • Today, on the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, we honor and remember two Citadel alumni who made the ultimate sacrifice on Omaha Beach: 1LT Robert M. Brice, USA, Class of 1942, and PFC Thompson G. Dicks, USA, Class of 1944. We also salute all Citadel alumni who served during the Invasion of Normandy and in the campaigns that followed.
