Thomas Guss of West Chester Thomas A. Guss, 34, of West Chester died Wednesday, April 5, 2000. Born in West Chester, he was the son of G. Robert and Barbara Higgins Guss. He was a cum laude graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. He was also a graduate of East High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Desert Storm, serving as a first lieutenant. He was employed as a supervisor of Airborne Freight in King of Prussia. He was a member of St. Agnes Church in West Chester. He was a member of the National Honors Society Phi Kappa Phi. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Kimberly J. Guss of Columbia, S.C. and Michelle S. Guss of Columbia, S.C.; a son, Colin A. Guss of Columbia, S.C.; and a sister, Jane A. Guss of Media. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, at St. Agnes Church, 233 W. Gay St. in West Chester. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the DellaVecchia, Reilly and Smith Funeral Home, Inc. of West Chester. Married Beth Schwerin 8-13-1988. Later divorced, 1997.
