Bradley Byron “Brad” Moorer, age 48, of Saugatuck, Michigan, passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, August 7, 2025, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
Brad was a devoted husband and father, deeply loved by his wife, Melanie Blease Moorer, and their two children, Bradley Byron Moorer, Jr. and Margaret Elizabeth Moorer.
Born on November 13, 1976, in Columbia, South Carolina, Brad was the son of Frank Moorer and the late Mary Margaret “Peggy” Pittard Moorer. He grew up in Columbia, where he met Melanie-his high school sweetheart. The two married in 2000 and began building their life together. They welcomed their son, Bradley, in 2006, followed by their daughter, Elizabeth, in 2008.
Brad graduated from The Citadel in 1999 with a degree in Business Accounting and later earned a master’s degree in Business Leadership from Michigan State University. In 2011, Brad and his family relocated to Michigan when he accepted a position and later became the CEO of MBG Marketing in Grand Junction.
Known for his strong work ethic and belief that “you get out of life what you put into it,” Brad was a generous and considerate man who gave freely of his time and resources. He was especially dedicated to supporting the Saugatuck community and helping those in need.
In addition to his wife and children, Brad is survived by his father, Frank Moorer; his in-laws; extended family members; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Moorer, and his brother, Jeremy Moorer.
A visitation will be held, where family will receive friends and family, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 12, at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street, in Holland.
A private funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.
