Albert A. Rickert, '45
Albert Rickert II, 90, of Fredericksburg died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at MedStar Hospital in Washington, D.C. Albert was born in New Jersey on Feb. 5, 1924, to Albert and Sarah Rickert. Mr. Rickert served in the United States Army and retired as a lieutenant colonel. He then was a security director for the U.S. government. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Rickert. He is survived by two sons, Albert A. "Rick" Rickert III and wife Carolyn and Randall C. Rickert and wife Kim; two daughters, Linda Lavender and Lisa Rickert; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, at Aquia Episcopal Church in Stafford.
